Fentress is a very talented videographer. We welcome her to the Simple I Do’s Team. She is available to capture videos of Destination Elopements and Pop Up Weddings!
Here’s what she had to say about her first outing with Simple I Do’s:
“I didn’t know what to expect, I’ve filmed weddings but I’ve never filmed an elopement before. And since I’ve never filmed on the parkway, I kept wondering how this will turn out? I was anxious and these were my thoughts before filming video of my first elopement with Simple I Do’s.
The couple walked up and I introduced myself. I didn’t expect what we did next – a mile hike up a mountain on top of the parkway! I certainly wore the wrong shoes for this! We all get to the top, and the view is beyond beautiful! We found a perfect spot for the vows, and then another perfect spot for the first dance. Beginning with the first kiss, to the champagne toast, and the couple feeding each other cake, the location was everything!! When I finally finished editing, I couldn’t wait until the couple saw what I had captured.
I shared it with the couple and was blown away by the brides response. She said, “I’m beyond impressed, can’t stop playing it over and over again. To say that you did an amazing job is an understatement! I’ve been sobbing over here”
To get that kind of response for my first elopement put the biggest smile on my face! Just to know that my video made that much of an impact on the bride and groom made the hike, the cold weather, and the two hour drive to the mountains all worth it!
Filming on the mountain top is an exceptional experience, the views are unmatched. I capture video of the couples before, during and after the hike, the ceremony, and Mark’s photo shoot. I love highlighting “true reactions” – quirky moments, rocky climbs, trying not to trip on the way down… you get the picture! Working with Simple I Do’s was a great professional decision and I’m eager to work with each couple I meet and ready to make an impact on their special day by making sure each moment is captured, making the experience unforgettable. 30 years from now, they will be able to relive that day, see the smiles they had on their faces, the tears after the first kiss, and the laughter as they made their way down the mountain beginning their new life together!”
